Patriot Viper VPN100 512GB is clearly one of the best options on the market if we are looking for a top SSD for our daily challenges. Without hesitation, I can recommend it to all gamers who care about the instant loading of their favorite titles.
Besides the top performance, the VPN100 offers also low operating temperature with additional drive protection. The integrated heatsink is a good idea but personally, I wish to see it removable as many motherboards already have heatsinks for M.2 SSD. The one which comes with the VPN100 is performing better but I guess there will be users who wish to keep motherboard’s cooling solution because of the looks of the whole platform. For all others, the heatsink is a great idea which keeps the drive cool and won’t let it throttle and cause performance drops.
The VPN100 512GB costs about USD $95-110 which is a great price. Most competitive drives cost significantly more and only SATA versions are slightly below $100 mark. I think it’s an offer absolutely worth considering.
Viper VPN100 is covered by a three-year warranty. Not too much but quite enough for a gaming product.

Even though we couldn’t reach declared sequential write speed in our tests, then the amount of advantages that the VPN100 brings, lets us recommend it without any hesitation. It’s clearly one of the best M.2 SSD on the market and can easily compete with any other high performing drives. I’m sure that all gamers will be fully satisfied, especially that the VPN100 is also inexpensive.
