Conclusion and Verdict
The Silicon Power UD70 2TB SSD offers a perfect mix of features for a home PC. It’s fast, reliable, small, and light. There were no problems with performance or stability during our tests. We were able to pass declared bandwidth on a laptop, and the drive was not overheating. The drive is equipped with additional features that keep it cool and protect the data from too high temperatures, and hardware fails. It may cause some performance drops during longer data transfers, but we haven’t seen that in our tests.
The Silicon Power UD70 2TB SSD costs around $192 in the Amazon store. It’s one of the strongest points of this drive as we can find competitive drives regarding performance, but not many offer such a good price to GB ratio. This is the price of many 1TB M.2 SSD while we are receiving the whole 2TB. I guess that the competition will follow, but for now, it’s one of the best deals on the market.
The UD70 is covered by a 5-year warranty, and this is the same as with all Silicon Power SSDs. Not the longest I’ve seen, but it’s still much longer than the standard 3 years for most drives on the market.
