Conclusion
TEAMGROUP products always meet the expectations. The Cardea A440 isn’t the fastest SSD on the market, but it delivers solid performance and has other advantages that should convince gamers and enthusiasts.
The SSD has two heatsinks in the package. It’s a good option as we can use it on a regular PC, laptop, or PS5 gaming console. The only problem is the thermal sensor, which doesn’t read the temperature correctly. The SSD isn’t throttling with installed heatsinks, but without it, the performance randomly drops, even though the software reports relatively low temperatures.
One of the main advantages of the A440 SSD is its price. While writing this review, the price dropped twice; right now, it’s around $59 in the Amazon store. It’s one of the cheapest 1TB M.2 SSDs, and with the set of heatsinks, it’s a pretty good deal.
TEAMGROUP also gives a 5-year warranty for the Cardea A440 series SSD, which confirms that the brand is sure of the high quality of its product. Not many SSDs have such an extended warranty.
Final words:
TEAMGROUP has yet again released another gaming product that meets the users’ needs. The Cardea A440 SSD is fast, looks great, and is fully compatible with various computers and PS5 gaming consoles. It’s also equipped with two types of heatsinks. You can’t go wrong with this SSD whether you need it for gaming or more demanding office work.
