A few months ago, TEAMGROUP released a whole line of MP44 SSDs. We already reviewed the MP44 M.2 2280 SSD, and this time we present to you the MP44S. The S version is smaller, M.2 2230 size, and is designed for mobile devices where we can’t install anything larger. This form factor is mainly popular in handheld gaming consoles like Valve Steam Deck, ASUS Ally, or Lenovo Legion Go, but we can find it in ultrabooks and other devices.
The tests will be performed on the Valve Steam Deck console, with installed Win 11 Pro, which should give us comparable results to other platforms. Let’s start with some technical data and product features.
Top choice for capacity upgrade on lightweight devices
Heat dissipating graphene label for enhanced heat dissipation and system operating stability
Small-size solution offering TB-grade massive capacity
Gen4 read/write speed compatible with PCIe Gen3 interface
Recyclable packaging contributing to sustainability endeavors
TEAMGROUP’s exclusive patented S.M.A.R.T. monitoring software
Five-year warranty for reassurance
You can buy the TEAMGROUP MP44S 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD for around $85.84 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3MfaedY
