Specification
The specification looks pretty standard for a micro SD card with one exception – performance. Not many SD cards can reach declared Toshiba Exceria speeds. Of course we will check how it really performs like in our tests.
Closer Look
The package type picked by Toshiba is nothing unusual. As with most flash memory products, the Exceria cards have plastic blister protection and cardboard box with a description of the product within.
The outside of the package has all of the information a consumer would need to know such as capacity, the declared speed and compatibility. We can also find out that our new card is supposedly waterproof, shock proof and resistant to x-rays.
The backside of the package tells us something more about the declared performance. For example we can see that the maximum bus bandwidth is 104MB/s.
Almost everything else includes a general product description and the manufacturer’s contact information. Probably the most important bit is the five year warranty logo in top right corner. Not all manufacturers decide to offer such a long warranty on flash products.
The Exceria micro SD card looks like any other micro SD card. It is the standard format which fits all devices compatible with micro SD cards.
On the back of the card, as expected, all looks also standard. However card itself feels like is somehow more solid than standard micro SD cards. Maybe it is just a feeling.
