Performance
The performance has been measured using a USB 3.0 micro SD card reader. The card reader has been connected to an Intel USB 3.0 controller on the ASUS Rampage V Extreme motherboard. The tests used to check performance are based on popular benchmarks that are easy to download from many websites. I assume that it should not be any problem for readers to compare our results with your own hardware.
The results may vary depending on the hardware and USB controller used.
ATTO Disk Benchmark
The ATTO results are really good. On our test rig, the write bandwidth is slightly lower than the declared speeds; however the read bandwidth is slightly higher. The general performance looks great considering that it is only a micro SD card.
CrystalDiskMark 3.0.1 x64
The results in CrystalDiskMark are even better than in ATTO achieving a slightly better than declared speed in sequential write and read tests. Besides sequential, the random transfers also look good. Over 9MB/s in 4K read test is an exceptional result for any SD card.
Anvil’s Storage Utilities
The different test scheme shows that in some benchmarks the results can be lower than that which was declared. However, what we achieved in Anvil’s benchmark is still high and above anything that we have previously tested in our lab.
I am sure that everyone who is counting on top performance will receive it from Toshiba Exceria micro SD cards. The high speeds and capacity is a perfect combination to all who are often using digital cameras.
