Specification
Specification tells us that Toshiba TransMemory EXII is compatible with probably every modern PC. If USB port is in lower specification then flash drive will run at limited speed.
Closer Look
Toshiba TransMemory EX-II comes in a small box, similar to other Toshiba flash memory products. On the package is description of everything we need to know so capacity, declared speed, interface, warranty length and contact to support.
Mentioning warranty, it’s one of the only flash drives on our market with five year warranty. Usually we can count on two-three year warranty.
Flash drive itself has metal ( aluminum ) main body and plastic additional elements. There is a protective cap which I don’t really like as you can easily lose it but somehow it makes all build more solid without moving parts like sliding USB connector.
On the back there is small serial number and couple of safety certificate logos. Nothing special but isn’t spoiling general looks of the flash drive.
Front side has Toshiba sign and info about capacity. Pretty standard but kept in classy way.
There is also one more thing which I haven’t seen in general specification but I found on the flash drive – EX II Pad Locker so encrypting software.
It’s pretty good addition for all who care about data security especially that flash drive is a storage device easy to lose. Using this simple but efficient software we can protect our data.
