Example Test Build
I won’t hide that as simple as it may look, the PC build was a challenge. Streacom wasn’t probably thinking about anything like our build when they designed the DA6 and DA6 XL. Streacom isn’t a fan of RGB illumination (the same as many PC enthusiasts), but that’s another thing.
The build was made with the huge help from Alphacool, which delivered all the cooling components, including the Eisblock XPX Aurora Edge (black digital RGB), two NexXxoS XT45 Full Copper X-Flow 280mm radiators, Eisblock Aurora Acryl GPX-A (as one of not many blocks that fits our RX6800XT Red Devil graphics card), a set of eight Rise Aurora 140mm fans, Laing DDC310 pump, and a set of fittings, brass/black hard tubes and cutting tools. The build will be described wider in a separate article.
As you can see, Streacom DA6 XL can handle a lot, including thick, dual 280mm radiators with eight fans. This is far from a compact ITX build, but also something that other ITX cases won’t let install. It still takes less space than a full ATX tower but supports better cooling for the processor and graphics card. The installed cooling let us drop the temperatures by about 15°C on the i7-13700K CPU and up to 30°C on the RX6800XT graphics card, so we can overclock both much higher than before.
The DA6 XL gives us a lot of freedom for even the craziest builds. The main question for our PC was, “why not?”. Why not do something fresh, new, and unique? Streacom pushes us for new ideas, so our PC won’t be boring and similar to any other. This is probably the main reason why the DA6 XL is such an interesting product.
