Conclusion and Verdict
Streacom DA6 XL is a high-end product that has to be considered as such while looking at its price and everything it offers. At the price of about £256 in the Amazon UK store, we get a unique ITX case with a PCIe 4.0 riser which is designed for PC enthusiasts. It doesn’t have to meet all users’ needs as it’s not designed for everyone. It for sure gives us the freedom to build our special and unique PC like no other ITX case on the market.
The materials quality is top as in all Streacom products. Sadly, there were some little issues with graphics card installation and power plug, but it doesn’t affect all users, and the final retail version should be problem-free.
The open-frame build may collect much more dust, but filters have to be cleaned from time to time too, so it all depends on the point of view. For some users, easy access to all components can be more important.
Pros:
- Original idea and design
- Scratch-resistant
- Small foot
- Perfect for DIY projects
- It can be used vertically or horizontally
- Plenty of additional modules
- Supports long graphics cards
- Supports all types of desktop PSUs
Cons:
- Not compatible with some types of power cords (will be redesigned soon)
- Graphics card mount can be problematic
- Open frame – may cause collecting more dust
- Expensive
Final words:
If you are searching for a fresh and original idea for your dream PC, then Streacom DA6 XL can be an ITX case for you. It gives us full freedom and works on imagination, helping to create our special high-end PC.
