Main Review
To start off I will say that as cool as a RGB mousepad is it’s ultimately unnecessary to a gaming setup so only buy this if you happen to have $39 burning a hole in your wallet with nothing else to spend it on.
That being said this is a great mouse pad even for the price, with a large surface and smooth top side it works extremely well as a mouse pad for any genre of gaming.
I played a few matches of PUBG and a few hours of my current time waster The Witcher 3 and in both games the large smooth surface never interfered with gaming (I even got one whole kill in PUBG!) During gaming I honestly would have forgotten the mouse pad was there if it weren’t for all of the lights so strictly from a technical and usefulness standpoint it’s a great mouse pad but that also isn’t that hard of an achievement to get since almost any mouse pad feels great during gaming, and let’s be real You’re not spending $39 on a mouse-pad simply because of how good it feels You’re buying it for those sweet sweet RGB’s.
Overall this mouse pad feels great and its large size means you should never run out of space when gaming so since I have no complaints on the feel and use of this mouse pad it gets a 5/5 in this category.
So how good are the lights on this mouse pad?
Well really good actually!
Lighting comes out of all sides and the logo on the top left corner of the mouse pad with the cord and physical controls coming out of the middle. And lighting is even all around the mouse pad and looks really good, It is kind of hard to do the lighting justice on camera but In person the lights look great, the lighting also gets pretty bright with everything on max it never gets bright enough to be distracting but you will be able to see it even with screen lighting and keyboard lighting shining around it.
My only complaint when it comes to lighting is that a lot of the brightness is lost coming through the logo, even at max the logo looks quite dim, I also would have liked to see separate color control for the logo but since the logo is just a bit of clearer material on thee top it has the same lights as the side showing through meaning it follows the same color and brightness as the rest of the keyboard.
Overall lighting does look really good on this keyboard and any complaints bout the logo are pretty minor in comparison to the overall look of the keyboard so lighting gets a 4.5/5.
The mouse-pad comes with the simple hardware controls that only alow you to change brightness, static white and a mode where the colors constantly change built-in but you can also download the free DRACONEM RGB software and use that to do way more with the mouse-pad lighting.
(Due to video upload limitations I can’t show the animated lighting effects in motion but This page will give you a more detailed look at the lighting options for this mouse-pad.)
Once inside the software You get a lot of options with some things being exclusive to certain effects like being able to choose what direction the lights flow on the Wave setting, but all effects let you choose the color, brightness and whether the lighting stays on while the PC is in sleep mode.
Over all I am really happy with the customization that thermaltake gives you with this mouse pad and since I have no complaints about the software aspect it gets a 5/5 in this category.
Also build quality is extremely good too, Even though this is a cloth mouse pad it’s extremely well made and feels really solid. The main hub at the box is solidly attached and doesn’t wiggle around at all, the cloth at top is smooth and feels really well made and also feels like it wont tear or anything any time soon, the underside has a non slip rubberized feel and I never had any issues with the mouse pad moving around during use. The only build quality part that I have complaints with is the cord, It isn’t braided or anything it’s just a standard rubber and while it doesn’t feel cheap at all for $39 I feel like they could have put a braided cable for extra longevity and an ever more solid feel.
Now for the conclusion and final score!

They sent you something totally free to promote. Why do they deserve a shout-out? I’m confused.
