A Closer Look and Performance
The Thermaltake eSports Draconem RGB Touch Edition is constructed well enough, feeling sturdy all around. The surface of the mousepad is hard, whilst being very smooth. The cable length is also plentiful, however, it is not braided.
At the top rear of the mousepad resides the control buttons as well as the fingerprint sensor. The underneath side of the mousepad has a non-slip rubberized surface. The connectivity includes a USB cable which is utilized for powering the RGB lighting.
Installation is plug and play, however, to get the most control and functionality from the Draconem requires download and installation of the software from Thermaltake. The lighting can also be controlled via the buttons found at the top rear of the mousepad. The RGB lighting looks great!
Performance
I used the mousepad for several weeks to do a variety of things such as gaming and web browsing. The overall feel of the Draconem is a positive one and there were no signs of wear afterward either. My mouse glided comfortably to and fro, with no fatigue experienced. All this while doing heavy sessions of Apex Legends, Fortnite, and many other current games.
