Verdict and Conclusion
All said and done, I can confirm that the ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT offers a slight improvement in performance over the original Radeon RX 6700 XT from ASRock, which we reviewed last year. Although you get the same amount of Ray accelerators (40), and the same amount Stream Processors (2,560), this improvement in performance is all thanks to an overclocked GPU r unning at a base clock rate of 2,495 MHz (AMD’s default is 2424 MHz), with a Game and Boost clock rate running at the increased speed of 2554/2634 MHz respectively. Plus you now also get 12GB of GDDR6 ram running at the faster memory speed of 18Gbps. All of the above increase speed means you extra gaming performance!
AMD’s so-called “refresh” of their RX 6000 series of graphics cards are a welcome addition to an extremely competitive and cut-throat market. Although the Radeon RX 6×50 XT refresh wasn’t meant to offer a major leap in performance, in our review we concluded that the RX 6750 XT does offer a slight performance boost over the original RX 6700 XT.
For those to wish to overclock the GPU further, you can use ASRock’s Tweak software. The software allows you to overclock the card even more. You can select between Silent, Default and OC Mode. You can also monitor the memory speed, GPU usage, GPU temps and fans speeds too.
During our tests, we used an Intel Core i9-12900KF processor, ASRock Z690 Taichi RAZER EDITION and 32GB of Viper Gaming Venom DDR5-6200 memory. For 3DMark Timespy and Firestrike, it produced a excellent score of 14,187 and 33,363 respectively. I got an impressive high score of 11,717 for GPU Basemark, and a Final Fantasy XV score of 12,711. For 3DMark Port Royal, it produce a score of 6,160 with a DirectX Raytracing score of 16.3 fps. And finally for Unigine’s Superposition 1080p extreme and optimized 4K, we got as score 7,245 and 10,065 respectively. As you can see from the above score, it’s pretty impressive.
Appearance-wise, ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT Phantom Gaming D looks identical to the original Radeon RX 6700 XT. And this is expected … as most board partners just replace the GPU with a newer version, along with the faster speed ram. The card uses the same Phantom Gaming 3X Cooling System featuring a massive heatsink, reinforced frame, metal backplate, heatpipes, and 3 axial fans with one that offers ARGB lighting in the middle of the card, supporting ASRock’s Polychrome Sync.
For ARGB lighting, there’s a strip featuring the Phantom Gaming logo that lights up. And for those who dislike RGB, there’s a unique on/off switch on the top the card that controls the RGB lighting. For monitor output, it comes 3 x DisplayPorts v1.4 and 1 x HDMI 2.1 port (VRR). For those to use high-end gaming monitors that support refresh rates above 144Hz, remember to use some high quality DisplayPorts v1.4 cables to get the full refresh rate of your gaming monitor.
Prices of GPUs are coming down slowly (as of June 2022), although they are still slightly above MSRP. Let’s hope the situation changes over the next few months. In the meantime, you can buy the ASRock Radeon RX 6750 XT 12GB OC Graphics Card for around USD $541-650 from Amazon – https://amzn.to/3kZYP6U
