The Box and Packaging
Inside the box, there’s not much to see. You get a quick installation guide and the graphics card itself.
A Closer Look
The card comes with a triple fan design featuring 3 striped ring fans, a reinforced metal frame and stylish metal backplate. The large heatsink features 5 ultra-fit heatpipes (2 front/3 rear). It gives users the best balance between the thermal efficiency and silent operation.
It comes with a stylish metal backplate which adds to its great looks, and helps cool the premium thermal pads on backside. The reinforced metal frame give the card some rigidity and helps prevent the PCB from bending.
The card only uses around 2.5 PCIE slot space and measures 304mm in length. It’s not too large, and should fit in most mid-tower and full size ATX cases.
All 3 cooling fan features integrated ARGB LEDs which lights up as soon as you power up the system, and you can synchronized it with your ASRock motherboards that support Polychrome SYNC. There’s a switch near the 2 x 8-pin power connectors, and this allows you to turn the LEDs on/off .
Monitor output, there’s 3 x DisplayPort v2.1 and 1 x HDMI 2.1 port.
The card features 2 x 8-pin PCIE power connector, and has a TBP (or total board power) of around 260W, so we recommend a minimum power supply of 750W or higher.
Installation
We didn’t encounter any issues with installation whatsoever. The ASRock Radeon RX 7900 GRE Steel Legend 16GB OC graphics card will look great in any white-themed PC build.
As soon as you power up the system, the RGB LEDs on all 3 fans light up immediately, and it looks fantastic. If you don’t want the ARGB LEDs to light up, you can always turn it on or off via a switch which is located near the power connectors.
If you have a monitor what supports FreeSync, make sure you use a high quality DisplayPort cable (1.4 minimum), and remember to enable FreeSync on the Adrenalin Software, otherwise you won’t be getting all the benefits of the graphics card or monitor.
