Today, we will be taking a look at the ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Taichi White OC graphics card. The card uses AMD’s Navi 31 XTX GPU which features 96 compute units, 96 Ray accelerators and 6,144 stream processors.
The GPU on this card is factory-overclocked with a Boost Clock speed of up to 2,680 MHz (the default is 2500 Mhz), while the Game Clock speed is now at 2,510 MHz (default is 2300 Mhz). The Typical Board Power is rated at 355 W, so we recommemd a power supply of 850W or higher.
It features 24GB of GDDR6 ram running at a speed of 20 Gbps on a 384-bit memory bus.
It also includes a Dual BIOS design, which allows users choose preferred setting by switching between the P (Performance) BIOS and Q (Quiet) BIOS.
For cooling, the card comes with their Taichi 3X cooling solution giving you the best balance between the thermal efficiency and silent operation. It includes a massive heatsink with 8 heatpipes, and 3 striped ring fans, which gives you more lateral intake and thus providing better airflow through the cooling array.
Other features include an ARGB backplate and a reinforced metal frame which enhances the structure to prevent the PCB from being bent.
And finally, for RGB lovers … you’ll find an LED on/off switch which allows you to use the built-in ARGB LEDs or any ARGB strips/devices connected the graphics card via the 3-pin header.
I would like to thank ASRock for providing the review sample. This is a snippet from what ASRock has to say about themselves on their website:
ASRock Inc. is established in 2002, specialized in the field of motherboards. ASRock strives to build up its own brand. With the 3C design concept, “Creativity, Consideration, Cost-effectiveness”, the company explores the limit of motherboards manufacturing while paying attention on the eco issue at the same time, developing products with the consideration of eco-friendly concept.
ASRock has been growing fast and become world third largest motherboard brand with headquarter in Taipei, Taiwan and branches in Europe and the USA. The young and vibrant company targets from mainstream to enthusiast MB segments for different kinds of users, owning reputation around the world market with its reliability and proficiency.
Here’s a quick comparison between AMD’s Radeon RX 6900 XT, RX 7900 XT, RX 7900 XTX and ASRock’s lastest Radeon RX 7900 XTX Taichi White OC (in red).

With a factory-overclocked GPU and an impressive cooling system, I can’t wait to see how the ASRock Radeon RX 7900 XTX Taichi White 24GB OC will perform against other graphics cards we tested in the past, especially the GeForce RTX 3090 and the RTX 4070 Ti.
We’ll be testing this card using a system provided by ASRock, which is comprised of an AMD Rzyen 9 7950X3d and ASRock X670E Steel Legend motherboard, along with 32GB of DRR5-6000 ram.
Let’s get busy and start by taking a look at the specifications of the graphics card on our next page.
