A Closer Look
The card looks pretty good. It may not be as good-looking as the Advanced series I had a chance to review a while ago, but it has an interesting design. On the other hand, this is probably the lowest Colorful series right now, and it still looks great.
Colorful did not save on the cooler or fans, so the card is quiet and is not overheating under an extended high load.
The card is two slots thick, so it’s not so bad, as we’ve seen thicker cooling. It’s also quite long, so we must ensure enough space for a slightly more than 300mm card.
The card has three fans that spin at about 2000 RPM during high load and can reach 3000 RPM if necessary. However, we couldn’t see more than 2100 RPM even after overclocking.
The power design is also pretty good. As long as the coil whine effect affects all graphics cards, the tested sample was quiet and wasn’t audible from a closed PC case. Cards like the ASUS RTX 4070 Super DUAL are significantly louder.
The RGB illumination is a little disappointing. As long as it runs in the whole RGB palette, it’s barely visible. The photos show the default pulsing red mode, which is hard to notice from the red cover. The sign is only more visible when switching to white or yellow.
