EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 GAMING 11 GB Review

Test Setup & Benchmark Methodology

Our testing setup for this review includes the RYZEN 1600X processor, ASRock X370 Taichi (AM4) Motherboard, 16GB (2x8gb kit) of Corsair Vengeance Ballistic Elite 3000 MHz DDR4 memory, EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti SC2 11GB (provided by EVGA), Samsung 850 Evo 250GB M.2 SSD, as well as a Corsair RX850 power supply. The NVIDIA drivers that were used were version 384.76. The latest BIOS available at the time of testing for the motherboard was also used (3.0). We will be testing the 3D performance using the latest benchmarking suites widely available to everyone. Since this is the inaugural testing review with this new RYZEN system, the EVGA GTX 1080 Ti SC2 will serve as the baseline for future testing.

Temperatures were monitored through EVGA’s Precision XOC software in which logging is possible. We used Futuremark’s 3DMark software, more specifically the Firestrike Ultra benchmark to obtain our temperature data. The ambient environment temperature was maintained at 23.3 degrees Celsius +/- 1 degree.
