In conclusion, I wish everyone could enjoy these cards. Because these new cards are amazing! Soon though they will have plenty of these to go around and take advantage of the EVGA ordering process. But let me reassure when you finally get one of these cards you won’t be disappointed. The performance of the EVGA GeForce RTX 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra really starts to shine, and out run the previous generation of RTX 20 cards when it comes to Ray Tracing.
The iCX3 cooler is very good, and was able to keep the card underneath the Founders Edition temperatures, reaching a high of 72 degrees (FE was reported at 73), even when pushing the card to MHz limits. The new cooler design comes with a backplate that allows some of the air to pass through. The backplate also looks pretty decent too. The fans never broke 60% capacity. So you have a little room to play around with the fan curve. But I will warn you when the fans spin past 80% you will definitely hear them. At 60% they are virtual no louder than ambient surroundings or the rest of your system.
The 3060 Ti FTW3 Ultra Graphics Card would be great choice anyone looking to break into 1440p or 4K with a little less details enabled.
The power pins will be the familiar 2 8-pin connectors. Just be sure to use two separate cables for each connection. I know this isn’t necessary for this card that only draws 200W but it will be a good habit to get into because these cards are going to soon require this setup in the near future. Might as well get the cable management out of the way now. But you can safely run the card off of one cable with two 8 pin connectors.
