Verdict and Conclusion
Wow, I never thought I’d say this … but yeah, this graphics card is just Wow! When we tested the Zotac GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition, I thought it be very hard for anyone to beat it, both in terms of price and performance. But the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition 11G really did it. In terms of price, it’s only USD $20 more than the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Edition, and USD $40 cheaper than the ZOTAC GeForce GTX 1080 Ti AMP Extreme, but the performance and features you’ll get is pretty incredible.
In all of our benchmarks, the Gigabyte Aorus GeForce GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme Edition 11G came out on top of the list, beating everything we threw at it. The performance is nothing short of phenomenal. This is all thanks to a pre-overclocked GPU that gives you a base clock speed of 1632 MHz and a boost speed of 1746 MHz (reference base clock: 1480 MHz, boost: 1582 MHz).
To help with the cooling, Gigabyte has included a Copper Base Plate (which forms part of the PCB backplate), Windforce Stack cooling with 3X 100mm fans that spin alternately, Angular Fin Design and Composite Heatpipe.
I do like the aesthetics and design of the card. It’s got a menacing look that’s topped off with some cool RGB lighting, adding a little wow factor to it.
I also like the fact that it has 3 x HDMI outputs which is more than enough for anyone wanting to have a VR setup.
