Photos Part One: The Box and GPU
This card has been around a bit before it got to me, it’s a decent test of the packaging. It also means that I may not have the full accessory kit, so I can’t really comment on that side of things.
On the front we’re getting stared down by a lizard of some sort. Creepy. The colors are more vibrant in real life, if you care.
The rear has more or less the same information we saw on the previous page, nothing interesting. That actually sums the box up as a whole.
This edge is nice and informative, so I included it.
That does it for the box tour, there’s nothing else especially interesting box wise so I’ll skip ahead to the GPU itself. My unit came with a molex-PCIe power adaptor and a driver CD, nothing else. I would expect more from full retail cards, but I have no idea whether you’ll actually get more or not.
The card itself is dominated by the cooler, thankfully the cooler and heatsink look pretty awesome. All that is missing is an LED or three for the smoked transparent fan. Given the size of this heatsink compared to even the higher end GTX650Ti reference heatsinks, I think this card will not have any overheating problems. At all. Ever.
The back end shows more of the heatsink, as well as the PCIe power connector. If you look closely and the inductor on the left you’ll note it’s broken, someone at Gigabyte wasn’t as careful as they should have been. The card does function perfectly though.
A bottom view shot gives us more heatsink to look at, as well as the Faraday caged DVI ports.
For outputs we have just about everything. Two DVI-D ports, a HDMI and a VGA. Can’t argue with that!
The top of the card is much like the bottom, mostly heatsink. The whole card is mostly heatsink.
Now I’ll pull the cooler off and take a closer look. On the next page.
