Photos Part 1: The Box
As this is an early-review sample, this may or may not be the final box. Also note that it came only with two Molex-PCIe power plugs and those were outside the box. The accessories that come with the card are still a mystery.
The Gigabyte android eyeball logo is the main feature here. What it has to do with GPUs is beyond me, but it looks cool. I like this box and hope it stays like this, it’s nice and simple and sleek.
The end with the white brackets will get a serial number sticker for retail bits.
On the sides we find a few stats and a mention of OC GURU II, the second version of Gigabyte’s GPU overclocking software. We’ll cover that later.
The rear is a bit busier, it talks about the cooler, lists a few of the specs, and talks about the Ultra Durable VGA business. We already saw this in the features section.
Inside the box is this white box, perfect for pictures to torture forum users who know you got something cool, but not what. Other than that, it’s fairly boring. I’ll open it.
Inside we have our first glimpse of the card and an installation guide. It’s hard to say whether this is the final packaging or not. There weren’t any accessories in the box, but I’m sure there will be on the full retail versions. Gigabyte is usually pretty lavish with them.
