Specification and Features
Minimum requirements for all Multi-View models:
- Single Core CPU at 1.2GHz or higher processor clock. Intel Pentium / Celeron family, or AMD K6 / Athlon / Duron family, or compatible processor
- 512MB memory
- At least one USB 2.0/3.0 port*
- 30MB of available disk space
- Super VGA (800×600) or higher resolution monitor
*Note: Although adapter supports to connect to a USB 2.0 connector, the quality might be poor under high resolution display condition. In addition, USB 1.0/1.1 is not supported.
USB 3.0 has a transmission speed of up to 5 Gbit/s, significantly reduces the time required for data transmission while at the same time reduces power consumption. Being 10 times faster than USB 2.0, HIS Multi-View overcomes limited bandwidth for displaying on larger screen exists on USB2.0 interface. USB 3.0 is backward compatible with USB 2.0 so your old device will be able to communicate with the device without worries.

List of supported operating systems has been taken from HIS website. However we’ve also tested Multiview adapters on Windows 7 SP1 64-bit and Win 8/8.1 32/64bit without any issues.
Maximum screen resolution as we see on the picture above, is 2048×1152. List of suggested monitors for this resolution has been prepared just after the premiere of Multi-View adapters and I’m sure that now is much longer:

HIS Multi-View II
Imagine surfing the web, screen emails, watch DVD and even work on presentation all at once without flipping through windows. Just plugs in the HIS Multi-View II and you instantly connect to a second screen! Support up to 2048×1152 (2.4 MegaPixels) pixel resolution and 6 monitors connection at the same time, it’s as easy as connecting a USB gadget. Once you have more than multi-monitors hooked up, multi-tasking is made far easier and increase productivity.

All boxes of HIS Multi-View adapters look similar. On the box we can find most informations such as basic specifications, system requirements and the main features. Looking at the box we actually know what to expect from the product which of course is an advantage.
It is not described on the HIS website but the Multi-View II adapter has a handy bag that we can see on the photo below. On the box it is actually listed as one of the accessories of the set so there is nothing to worry about; the retail version includes also carrying bag.
The Multi-View II adapter looks simple but also stylish. The external part was made of black and white plastic.
On the front we can see the DVI connector. On the box there is info that this adapter has DVI and VGA DAC what means it supports both, analog and digital signal.
On the back there is mini USB 2.0 connector. We can also see light reflecting from the glossy plastic case. It is worth it to mention is that you can barely see any finger prints on it.
HIS Multi-View+Sound
The Multi-View+Sound is a device which enables connection to second display device to a computer using USB 3.0 port. With this convention design, it can connect up to 6 display devices to a computer without installing extra video cards. Once the driver has been installed, the USB attached monitor will be enabled immediately. No function key on the adapter and there is no need to reboot the operating system after unplugging the USB adapter. System performance is an important issue when using multiple monitors. Another benefit of this adapter is that it occupies little computer resource; ensuring users get quality display without comprising computer performance.

The HIS Multi-View + Sound adapter has been packed in a similar box as Multi-View II. We can also find the product description, basic specifications, and the listed contents.
Inside we will not find a carrying bag like what was included with the Multi-View II. There is also a USB 3.0 cable instead of a USB 2.0 cable.
Just looking at the outside, the Multi-View + Sound looks nearly the same as the Multi-View II with one exception – the connectors. The Multi-View+Sound has an HDMI connector which also provides HD quality sound and a USB 3.0 port on the other side of device.
Below we can see the mentioned HDMI connector as well as the DisplayLink – Beyond HD sticker. This is actually true as the maximum resolution is above standard HD – 2048×1152.
HIS Multi-View x2
HIS Multi-View x2 features HDMI and DVI ports, allowing connection up to 2 additional displays. Maximum resolution is up to 2048 x 1152, high enough for any HD movie! Equipped with a USB 3.0 port, the transmission speed is 10 times faster than USB 2.0, boosting the image quality on large displays, as well as enabling enthusiastic gaming on multiple displays! No matter you just want some extra screen area, watch HD movies with your computer or being an enthusiastic gamer, HIS Multi-View x2 is your perfect companion.

The HIS Multi-View x2 is an adapter which combines the functions of the two already presented adapters so we can work with 2 outputs at the same time.
Since the device is slightly larger, the box is also slightly larger. It does not change the fact that the design is similar and we can also find the same type of information as we could find on the other Multi-View boxes. Of course now the description tells us something about Multi-View x2 adapter.
HIS Multi-View x2 adapter also comes in the white glossy plastic. It looks pretty good. One bigger change comparing to smaller adapters are bright blue, activity LEDs.
On the back there are HDMI, DVI and USB 3.0 ports. There is also a 5V power supply connector which is not included but most users probably won’t need it.
