Temperatures
Temps at stock clocks were quite moderate. 69*C was the high temp we saw at stock settings on the default fan profile which was quite quiet. Once the voltage was cranked up to the max temps peaked at 89*C so I had to raise the fan speed up quite a bit to deal with the additional heat load.
Overclocking
Overclocking with this the HIS 7790 was pretty fun to say the least. Once voltage was unlocked we got another 10% or so out of the card before we hit its walls. Through every test except the first 3Dmark test it ran 1300mhz core flawlessly but for some reason it would crash at a single instant in one of the tests. 1275mhz core is nothing to sneeze at regardless. Memory also overclocked further but it got a tad warm through testing so it was backed down. I have to say the iTurbo overclocking utility from HIS really brought out the full potential of this card.

3DMark
Pretty sure that this benchmark was extremely bugged. I ran it a couple more times to make sure it wasn’t bugged and it ran bugged three more times. So either this card is 8 times faster than a normal 7790 or something is causing this benchmark to have an abnormally high score with this benchmark.
Dirt:Showdown (DX11)
1920×1080, 4XAA 16XAF Max Quality Settings
Almost a 6fps boost over stock clocks is a nice boost when you are at a rather low fps. Things were playable but did run into a couple of slowdowns when lots of action was happening on the screen.
Tomb Raider (DX11)
1920×1080, 4XAA 16XAF Max Quality Settings+TressFX
Even overclocked Tomb Raider is just too much for this poor card when maxed out. High details or maybe turning everything back down to medium should help this card a great deal at 1080p.
Bioshock Infinite (DX11)
1920×1080, 4XAA 16XAF Max Quality Settings+Diffusion
While the game was not running at a constant 60fps things were quite playable. I would really suggest turning down the AA and a few of the other settings to bring up the playability but overall things ran smoothly for the most part.
