Box and Packaging
The box and packaging came in pretty bland. You’ll find the usual Nvidia branding all over the box. There’s no PCIE power extensions or splitter cables. It did however, come with a gaming mouse mat … odd, but nice.
Inno3D iChill X3 GeForce GTX 1080
The impressive looking iChill X3 cooling solution , which uses 3 fans with scythe blades, makes the card much larger than the usual GeForce GTX 1080 that I’ve encountered. It measures 30.2 cm in length and takes up 2.5 PCIE slot space (you might as well call it 3 slot space).
The Herculez back plate provides full PCB shielding and proctection. It also helps with cooling the card.
A Closer Look
The I/O panel contains the usual video outputs, including 1 x HMDI, 3 x Displayport and 1 x DVI port. For power, you’ll need 1 x 8-pin PCIE and 1 x 6-pin PCIE power connectors.
It also comes with GPU load indicators on the top side of the card – Red for Full Gear Gaming, Green for Lower Power Gaming and Blue for Low Power Application.
