Verdict and Conclusion
I spent a couple of days testing the Sapphire HD7870 graphics card and I can say that at the beginning I didn’t know that I would like it so much.
Card is quiet, fast and does not generate much heat. Just what gamers are looking for in graphics cards.
I’ve checked couple of online stores and price for this model is about $270.
It’s not cheap for a HD7870 but considering that you don’t have to invest in better cooling then it’s not that bad.
I was expecting more from overclocking but also here it’s not that bad.
Card is keeping low temperature even after overvolting and fan speed is almost not changing.
Pros:
- quiet and effective cooling
- good overclocking
- high performance in 3D
- great performance/price factor
- higher clocks than the reference card
Cons:
- it’s not really an issue but could be cheaper
Final words:
Considering all above advantages I can recommend Sapphire HD7870 GHz Edition OC graphics card to all gamers who wish to play new games in higher quality but don’t want to spend much money. It’s also great product for all who care about silence.
I was counting that on added CD there will be at least overclocking software as it’s OC card version but all that I found were drivers. I could be picky about some other things already mentioned earlier but most of them are not really important.
Sapphire HD7870 GHz Edition OC is solid card and will bring many hours of entertainment not only for gamers.
