Package and Box content
Package looks standard but has all the information that you may need, like short card specification, product name and main features.
Can’t say that’s a lot but enough to pass installation process and make your card running without any problems.
In the box except graphics card there are also two PCI-e power cables, HDMI to Display Port adapter, driver CD, quick installation manual, product registration card, CrossFire bridge and Sapphire sticker.
Of course there is also a Radeon HD7870 graphics card.
Closer Look and Cooling
It’s hard to miss two fans on the card’s front side. Both are 92mm and their speed is adjusted automatically or can be fixed using Sapphire TriXX software (about that a bit later).
On next photo we see four heatpipes that are helping in heat transfer. Two are noticable thicker. These are one of some thickest heatpipes that I’ve seen in graphics cards.
Display conectivity options include HDMI 1.4, two mini Display Ports and a Dual-Link DVI port.
Back of the card. Hard to find anything really interesting here. Blue PCB and some stickers with serial and product numbers. There is also quality check stamp.
