The Packaging
The packaging looks nice and solid. It’s compact and you can feel the quality of the box. It’s you the impression that there’s something decent inside worth waiting for.
Inside the box, you get the ZBOX PI220 unit itself and various multi-plug power adaptors including UK/HK, European and China. The original USB power pack has the standard US plug and gives you 5V at 3.0A, which is pretty powerful, considering the iPad charge from Apple is 5V @ 2.1A. Other accessories include a micro USB cable, the antenna and short HDMI extension cable.
The Exterior
The ZBOX PI220 unit is light-weight and compact. Measuring just 131.5mm x 42.2mm x 15.8mm and weighing less than your typical smartphone … the ZBOX PI220 Pico is definitely one of the smallest PCs I’ve ever come across. I mean little unit can run a full version of Windows 10 (Home Edition).
The ZBOX PI220 Pico features active fan cooling and comes in a white plastic casing. Zotac also offer the PI221 Pico which features passive cooling instead, and that version comes in a black casing.
For connectivity, you get a 100Mb LAN port, USB 3.0 port, Bluetooth 4.0 and a micro SD card reader. There’s also a micro USB port for DC-in power and connector for the antenna.
