Performance
We used various benchmarking software including PCMark 8 from FutureMark, and Performance Test 8.0 from PassMark to get some comparable scores.
PCMark 8
“PCMark 8 is the latest version in our series of industry standard PC benchmarking tools. With PCMark 8 you can test the performance of all types of PC, from tablets to desktops. With five separate benchmark tests plus battery life testing, PCMark 8 helps you find the devices that offer the perfect combination of efficiency and performance. PCMark 8 is the complete PC benchmark for home and business.”
During this immensely intensive test, the tiny ZBOX PI220 Pico produce a PCMark score of 1087, which I thought was surprisingly good. To put this into prespective, the Dell E7370 produced 2108.
PassMark
“Fast, easy to use, PC speed testing and benchmarking. PassMark PerformanceTest ™ allows you to objectively benchmark a PC using a variety of different speed tests and compare the results to other computers.”
During the PassMark test, the ZBOX PI220 Pico struggled a bit … only producing a score of 582.3. This was expected. You can’t really compare the ZBOX PI220 Pico to a full blown desktop PC.

Disk read/write speeds is higher than that of a SD card or a USB thumb drive, but much slower than your traditional SATA3 hard drive or SSD of course. Still, it’s fast enough for its main purpose.
